The Pogues é uma banda irlandesa de punk rock celta, liderada pelo vocalista Shane MacGowan. Formada em King's Cross (Londres) em 1982, atingiram reconhecimento internacional nos anos que se seguiram, até MacGowan ter saído da banda, em 1991, devido ao seu problema com o álcool. A banda, contudo, não terminou, colocando primeiro Joe Strummer e mais tarde Spider Stacy no lugar de vocalista antes de se separar em 1996. A banda recomeçou as actuações em 2001, de novo com MacGowan, não tendo porém gravado mais nenhum álbum.
