Zola Jesus é o nome artístico de Nika Roza Danilova (cantora e compositora) nascida em 11 de abril de 1989. Seu estilo musical combina música eletrônica, industrial, clássica, gótica e influências de rock experimental. Nika nasceu no Arizona, cresceu em Wisconsin e atualmente reside em Seattle.
Teve aulas de ópera por 10 anos, mas parou quando tinha 18 anos, e então começou a fazer música experimental em seu quarto. Lançou The Spoils em 2009, Stridulum em 2010, Conatus em 2011, e Versions em 2013 (Em colaboração com J.
