Webb Michael Pierce, nasceu em 08 de agosto de 1921 e foi um dos mais populares americanas honky tonk vocalistas da década de 1950, traçando um número maior de hits do que qualquer outro país do artista durante a década. Seu maior hit é "There Stands the Glass". Para muitos, Pierce, com sua exuberante ternos Nudie e duplos de prata dólares conversíveis alinhado, se tornou o rosto mais reconhecível da música country da época e os seus excessos.
