Biografia:
The Staple Singers eram um grupo familiar criado pelo patriarca da família em conjunto com as suas filhas. O grupo lançou trabalhos em editoras como a Epic e a Stax records onde conseguiram pela primeira vez chegar ao #1 americano com o tema “I’ll Take You There”. Em 1975 rompem com a stax e assinam com a Curtom Records. cujo dono era nada mais nada menos que Curtis Mayfield, e com a sua produção lançam a trilha sonora de “Let’s Do It Again” uma grande comédia de Sidnei Poitier .

"Will the Circle Be Unbroken?" is a popular Christian hymn written in 1907
by Ada R. Habershon with music by Charles H. Gabriel. The song is often
recorded unattributed and, because of its age, has lapsed into the public
domain. The Staple Singers’ version, however, uses three of the five verses
from the re-worked lyrics by A.P. Carter. On the original Staple Singers LP
the song is just credited “Arr. – R. Staples”.
