The Presidents of The USA teve uma história de sucesso das mais inesperadas do rock de Seattle na década de 90. Ao invés de seguir o caminho do grunge, o Presidents escolheram o humor, em músicas punk curtas, simples e absurdas que por algumas vezes soavam assumidamente imbecis, contrastando com a atitude carregada de peso e emoção das bandas que marcaram Seattle.
