Hey guys,
this is "Say What I Feel" by The Overtones.
AWESOME song, I did not find the chords for this one here so I wrote a little
arrangement and thought I share it with you:
Key: C#
Tuning: Standard
PS: Use CAPO 1, and play in key C (forget all the # after the chords)
VERSE:
(Riff - Piano/Vocals:
C#, C#, C# F F# F#, F# G#
C#, C#, C# F F# F#, F# F
! play only the bass notes ! )
Tell me why, when we fall in love, all we wanna do is play it cool?
And all the words we never say, nobody ever wants to be the fool.
PRE-CHORUS:
G# A# F# G#
But I couldn't see the sense in that, oh no.
G# A# F# G#
'Cause whenever I see your face, girl, I just can't hold back.
CHORUS:
F# C# G# A#
And when the day is breaking, I'm looking for your love
and when the day is fading, you're all I'm thinking of.
There ain't no use pretending, I've had enough.
A# G# F# G#
I've got to get up, get on with the real, and say what I feel.
VERSE 2:
(riff!!)
Now, you can read me like a book, so you ain't gotta read between the lines
(ain't gotta read between the lines).
I may as well just say it, oh, you know exactly what is on my mind
(girl you know what's on my mind).
PRE-CHORUS:
G# A# F# G#
So you gotta know just where I'm at, oh yeah,
'cause whenever I see you smiling, I just can't hold back.
CHORUS:
F# C# G# A#
And when the day is breaking, I'm looking for your love
and when the day is fading, you're all I'm thinking of.
There ain't no use pretending, I've had enough.
A# G# F#
I've got to get up, get on with the real
A# F#
And if I lose you now,
A# G#
I'll only regret the things I never said.
A# F#
But I don't, I don't know how
A# G#
to show you the way I feel.
CHORUS:
F# C# G# A#
'Cause when the day is breaking, I'm looking for your love
and when the day is fading, you're all I'm thinking of.
There ain't no use pretending, I've had enough.
A# G# F# G#
I've got to get up, get on with the real, and say what I feel.
(riff)
Say what I feel. I gotta say what I, I gotta say what I feel. Say what I feel.

That's it, I hope you liked it!
I'm not a 100 per cent sure about the chords @ the bridge.
...but I think those might work!
