Phantom Planet é uma banda de Rock Alternativo de Los Angeles, California. A Banda também é caracterizada como Indie Rock e ficou mais conhecida graças a sua música "California" que se tornou tema do seriado The O.C, transmitido no Brasil pela Warner Channel e pelo SBT. Existente desde 1994 é composta por: Alex Greenwald, vocalista e guitarrista; Sam Farrar, baixista e backing vocal; Darren Robinson, guitarrista e backing vocal e Jeff Conrad, baterista.
