Sondre Lerche é um cantor/compositor natural de Bergen, Noruega. Inovador e talentoso, já tinha contrato assinado com uma gravadora antes mesmo de completar a sua maioridade. Porém, teve que esperar até o término de seus estudos para poder lançar o seu primeiro disco Faces Down. Inspirado pelos seus conterrâneos A-ha, pelas melodias dos Beach Boys e por tantos outros, Sondre foi, inicialmente, mostrando o seu trabalho em pequenos clubes de sua cidade.
