Social Distortion (também conhecido como Social D ou SxDx) é uma banda de punk rock formada em Fullerton, Califórnia originalmente em 1978 por seu vocalista, guitarrista e líder, Mike Ness. Ao lado de nomes como Minor Threat, Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Bad Religion, e outras, são frequentemente considerados uma das principais bandas do renascimento punk dos anos 1980.
A banda permaneceu em silêncio e veio a se separar uma vez em 1985, devido ao vício em drogas de Mike Ness.
