Biografia:
John Adam Estes (25 Janeiro de 1899 ou 1904 ~ 5 Junho 1977), mais conhecido como Sleepy John Estes ou Sleepy John, foi um cantor, compositor e guitarrista americano nascido em Ripley, Lauderdale County, Tennessee.
Em 1915, seu pai, que também tocava guitarra, se mudou com a família para Brownsville, Tennessee. Não muito tempo depois, Estes perdeu a visão do seu olho direito, quando um amigo atirou uma pedra para ele durante um jogo de baseball. Com 19 anos, enquanto trabalhava na roça começou a se apresentar profissionalmente.
