Screeching Weasel foi uma banda de punk de Chicago, Illinois, formada em 1986 liderada pelo colunista do zine "Maximum Rock'n'Roll" Ben Weasel (aka Ben Foster) e John Jughead (aka John Pierson).Durante os anos a banda passou por diversas formações até o seu fim em 2003.Membros que já passaram pela banda inclui Mass Giorgini no baixo, Dan Panic (aka Dan Sullivan) na bateria, Danny Vapid (Dan Schafer, atualmente no The Methadones) na guitarra e no baixo, dependendo da necessidade da banda.
