Os Ramones (Queens, Nova Iorque, Estados Unidos) foram uma banda estadunidense de punk rock formada em 1974, sendo considerada até hoje uma das bandas mais influentes e importantes da história do rock n' roll.
No início dos anos 1970 surgiam várias vertentes do rock nos Estados Unidos e no Reino Unido, o punk rock foi uma delas. Em 30 de março de 1974 os Ramones tocaram pela primeira vez, como um trio: Joey Ramone (pseudônimo de Jeffrey Hyman) na bateria
