Love And Rockets era formado pelo guitarrista e vocalista Daniel Ash, pelo baixista e também vocalista David J e pelo baterista Kevin Haskins, todos ex-integrantes do Bauhaus, considerada uma das bandas pioneiras do gótico mundial. Entretanto, o grupo nunca fez algo parecido com o que havia sido lançado por sua antiga banda. O Love and Rockets, na verdade, sempre enfatizou a mistura entre a psicodelia e o glam rock, algo que já existia no Bauhaus, mas estava totalmente escondido entre as pesadas atmosferas criadas por aquela banda.
