Funeral for a Friend é uma banda britanica de Post-hardcore, vinda do País de Gales formada em 2001. A banda já esteve sob contrato das gravadoras Ferret Music e Atlantic Records, da qual saiu em 2008. Seu quarto álbum de estúdio, "Memory and Humanity", foi lançado em 13 de outubro de 2008 pelo selo próprio da banda, Join Us.
A banda de Post-Hardcore apareceu em 2001 quando se chamava 'January Thirst' mas mudou o nome para 'Funeral For A Friend' quando lançou seu primeiro EP "Between Order and Model"
