From Indian Lakes is an American indie rock band founded by Joey Vannucchi in early 2009. Vannucchi began songwriting in a small mountain community just outside Yosemite National Park and later enlisted the help of friends to perform his material. From Indian Lakes independently released "The Man With Wooden Legs" in the winter of 2009. However, it was the band’s sophomore album “Able Bodies” that gained acclaim when it was released independently in 2012.

Most of the chords Joey uses in this song are unknown to me, so I'm just going to give the name of the chord closest to the actual chord and give the tab of the actual chord. Note: If you know the name to the actual chord, please shoot me an email (at the end of the page) and let me know so I can come back and possibly edit it. Thanks! Hope you enjoy playing this song as much as I do.
Verse 1: D They're running outside And they're telling me C There's been an accident D Somebody do something quick C But what can I do when the deed has been done?
Verse 2: D Am I so full of pride C That I took you for granted And never said, D "I could use someone like you," C Now I can't get it out of my head Pictures of you crying, D They make me cry, too.
Instrumental Break (pluck softly): DCDC (2x)
Verse 3 (strumming): DC I'm losing my mind when you telling me I was an accident D I've got to do something quick C And how can you stand there and call me your son
Verse 4: D Am I so full of pride when you tell me C That this wasn't worth it D And I'm only wasting my breath C I can't get it out of my head D Sounds of you trying to get my attention
Bridge thingy (plucked or strummed, either sounds good): AC2Em But I stood, I stood up when you called AC2Em And I held out my hands when you told me to AC2Em And I saw you were hiding when I spoke your name A But if you won't wake up C I don't want to wake up Em I don't want to wake up C I don't want to wake up at all
