Biografia:
Nació el 4 de junio de 1937 en San Benito, Texas como Baldemar Huerta Medina, murió en Corpus Christi Texas el 14 de octubre de 2006. Sus padres fueron emigrantes mexicanos que trabajaban en campos agrícolas en diversos estados de la Unión Americana, a la escasa edad de 5 años improviso con una lata de sardinas y alambres una guitarra casera, los 10 años ganó su primer premio al interpretar en un programa de aficionados en la estación KGBS-AM de Los Ángeles Cal.
