Biografia:
Elmore James (nasceu em 27 de janeiro de 1918 em Richland, Mississipi, morreu em 24 de maio de 1963 em Chicago Illinois) foi um guitarrista de Blues americano, considerado o pai do "la botlenek guitar" ou slide guitar.
Começou sua carreira musical no Mississipi junto com o tocador de gaita Rice Miller (mais conhecido como Sonny Boy Williamson), ficaram juntos por vários anos até que conseguiu seu primeiro contrato para gravação em 1951.
