Lyrics with Chords:
D, A, Bm, G
All the people in the world
D A
have their lives and have their songs to sing
Bm G
love and lust and even hate
D A
each one learning to find their own meaning
Bm G
all the sentiments, all the life lessons
D A
how to burn a bridge, how to make it right
Bm G
how to love someone, how to make it known
D A
how to run away, and to come back home
Bm G D (switching from fret 2 and 3 on high e string)
so sleep in peace once more
G
cuz it will pass like before
D (switching from fret 2 and 3 on high e string)
embracing all of our mistakes
A
remembering... that it will be okay
G
All the people in disguise
D A
hiding from all their insecurities
Bm G
learning thru the test of time
D A
of the world's endless possibilities
Bm G
all the sentiments, all the life lessons
D A
how to burn a bridge, how to make it right
Bm G
how to love someone, how to make it known
D A
how to run away, and to come back home
Bm G D (switching from fret 2 and 3 on high e string)
so sleep in peace once more
G
cuz it will pass like before
D (switching from fret 2 and 3 on high e string)
embracing all of our mistakes
A
remembering... that it will be okay
G
Intro and Verses
D, A, Bm, G
This repeats until the note is held at the end of the verses.
The note being held is:
D .
There's a finger change you can do on the guitar with this to sorta liven it up a bit so
it's not just the same chord being strummed over and over. It's much easier on the
uke, naturally. :) I'll tab it out:
---2---3--2------------------------|
---3---3--3------------------------|
---2---2--2------------------------|
---0---0--0------------------------|
---0---0--0------------------------|
---x---x--x------------------------|
Just bounce your finger on and off the 3rd fret on the high e string and presto! A bit
more lively part.
The "chorus" is just 2 chords back and forth and you can bounce the high E on this part too.
G & D
Okay, I think the only other part that isn't just the part above is for the words
"embarcing all of our mistakes, remembering it will be ok".
That part is played as follows:
A, G (then let ring)
Then repeat the same 4 chords from the start of the song and from the verses.
This song is the same 2 chord patterns played through 2 verses and 2 "chorus" parts (I
use the term chorus loosely as it sounds more like a build up to me than a chorus). Then
ends with the 3rd playing of the chords.
