Um grupo quase fictício acaba fazendo um álbum duplo que, embora não tenha vendido quase nada na época, vem sendo considerado um clássico do rock, graças ao single com a faixa-título. O Derek em questão é Eric Clapton, que, depois de temporadadas com os Yardbirds, John Mayall’s, Cream e (por pouco tempo) Blind Faith, formou uma banda para fazer seu primeiro e precioso disco solo.
