Biografia:
David Knopfler (Glasgow, 27 de Dezembro de 1952) é um guitarrista britânico, pianista, baterista, cantor e compositor. Foi um dos fundadores da extinta banda britânica Dire Straits e irmão do guitarrista e fundador Mark Knopfler. Esteve com o irmão no grupo Dire Straits desde a fundação, em 1977, até 1980, durante a produção do álbum Making Movies.
David Knopfler lançou o primeiro álbum a solo em 1983. O irmão Mark e John Illsley (Dire Straits) participam no álbum. O single de lançamento foi Soul Kissing.
