Biografia:
Darius Rucker (nascido em 13 de maio de 1966 em Charleston, Carolina do Sul) é o vocalista e guitarrista ritmo da banda Hootie & The Blowfish. Ele é um graduado da Middleton High School (turma de 1984), em Charleston.
Iniciou sua carreira solo em 2001 com o álbum The Return of Mongo Slade pela Atlantic Records, porém devido a mudanças contratuais o disco não foi lançado. Hidden Beach Recordings, um selo independente, adquiriu a Atlantic Records lançando o álbum comom Back to Then em julho de 2002.
