The members of Cross Canadian Ragweed -- Grady Cross, Cody Canada, Randy Ragsdale and Jeremy Plato -- have known each other pretty much since kindergarten in the band's hometown of Yukon, Oklahoma. They all wanted to get out, and music seemed like a good escape. When they all had graduated (except for Ragsdale, the youngest member), they started jamming at a party, and Cross Canadian Ragweed was born. Yukon as a rule wasn't a very musician-friendly town, but they had one notable local squarely in their corner: Ragsdale's father Johnny.

Verse: A Ain't it true what they say Dsus4 Every dog has his day A I never had mine Dsus4 I guess it was time AD Send me on down the line Dsus4 One piece at a time A She got her way Dsus4 I bet it made her day A Through me off to the side Dsus4 Took me out for a ride A Kicked me down to the curb Dsus4 Now for all that it's worth AD I'm lookin' to find Dsus4 One that's broken like mine
Chorus: A Broken like mine Dsus4 Or some piece of mind A I'll be happy when I find D A love less unkind Dsus4 Broken like mine
Verse: A I wish I was in her shoes Dsus4 With nothin' left to lose A Carry myself down Dsus4 To the lonely side of town A Tell her just how I feel Dsus4 I need something now that's real A Don't you tell me that love is blind D A heart ain't got that kind of time Dsus4 Unless it's broken like mine
