Late Summer of '64. A young quartet met in Manhattan and recorded nine songs. Their sound was born too early, too few ears were ready. So, the Mugwumps went their own ways. Zal, Jim, Cass and Deny moved on to their own groups, other kicks. Each eventually entered that weird world of sudden hits, royalties, Aston-Martins. What The Mugwumps left behind is this series of nine historic recordings, that are the grassroots of today's pop sound. Recordings that today, sound even better.
