Black Marble

Black Marble is one of the latest and greatest additions to the Brooklyn synthwave lexicon, and Weight Against the Door is their debut release, which manages to be bleak, punk, electronic, and uplifting all at once.
A departure from Weight’s calculated coldwave formalism, A Different Arrangement surveys a wide variety of sounds, from radiant, bouncing ebullience to layers of sentimental synth melodies and Stewart’s resonant, reverb-smeared baritone; at times so distinctly manipulated and sculpted as to be otherworldly.
