Electric Light Orchestra fue un exitoso grupo de rock de Birmingham, Inglaterra de la época de los 70's y los 80's.
Banda formada en 1971 por Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne y Bev Bevan, en prinicipio era un proyecto paralelo a The Move, banda integrada por los mismos miembros, más tarde The Move se disolvería y el genio de Roy Wood tras el debut de E.L.O. abandonaría el grupo quedando Lynne de líder. Su primer y extravagante album intentó fusionar instrumentos clásicos
