Biografía:
La serie originalmente tenía el nombre de DeathClock, pero una patente existente no permitió el uso de este nombre. Entonces fue cuando la serie y la banda de los personajes animados fue renombrada dethklok. El título del show se cambió a DeathKlok Metalocalypse, pero al final los productores decidieron acortarlo a Metalocalypse para simplificarlo.
La primera temporada del show consiste de 20 episodios de 11 minutos aprox. cada uno, el primer episodio fue mostrado por stream en Adult Swim Fix el 4 de agosto de 2006.
