Denison Witmer es un artista compositor en genero indie, es originario de Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Su primer exito fue en 1995, era un cassette subtitulado My Luck, My Love.
El mas reciente album de Witmer es Are You A Dreamer?, producido por Don Peris de The Innocence Mission y Sufjan Stevens.
El estilo de Witmer ha sido descubierto como "neo-folk". Ha sido comparado con los artistas y compositores de los 70s, incluyendo a Cat Stevens y Nick Drake.
