Es difícil encasillar a esta fantástica banda de Illinois dentro de un género concreto musical, absorben eclécticas sonoridades de los sesenta como Beatles, Kinks, Who, Rolling Stones, Move, Cream o Yardbirds y setenta como Raspberries, el glam-rock o Led Zeppelin, para desarrollar desde un agradecido humor caústico un estilo que viaja desde el power-pop más melódico hasta el hard-rock más áspero, configurando una de las propuestas musicales más fascinantes surgida en los Estados Unidos a finales de la década de los 70.
