Biografía:
Car Seat Headrest comenzó en Leesburg, Virginia, Estados Unidos como un proyecto de Will Toledo. A la fecha han lanzado 13 álbumes, 11 de ellos lanzados por medio de Bandcamp, antes de firmar con Matador Records. El nombre del proyecto fue elegido por Toledo debido a que grababa las voces de su primer álbum en el asiento trasero de su auto. Su estilo abarca principalmente el lo-fi. El proyecto es un excelente ejemplo de la ética DIY.
El proyecto alcanzó un mayor éxito con su álbum "Twin Fantasy" que fue lanzado en 2011
