Greedy Fly
Bush
Std Tuning
C = x355xx
Cm = x353xx
G# = 466(5)xx
A# = 688(7)xx
F = 133(2)xx
Okay, I'm stuck on Bush again, and can't get them (it) out of my mind. Greedy Fly is one
of my favorites but I could never find a decent tab or understand. Well, I think I've
thrown together a version here that is more in line with what I hunt down tabs for (not
looking for solos, I want to understand the song basics).
Intro:
(Notey Intro/Verse Riff)
| 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . | 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . |

Play this a couple times then...
(Chordie Intro/Verse Riff)
| 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . | 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . |

E|-------*-----------4~(4)-|-4-(4)-4-(4)-4--4--4--4--| (x2)
(Do you...)
* The Cm's are really just flair on the C chord portions, so I'm not going to list them
out all the time (too confusing). The 2nd Cm is more vital, the first can be palmed to
hide/mask. You can also lift barre the 3rd fret and hammer all the 5's in the C, so
don't stress over this too much - its C then G#, not that complicated.
Verse 1:
| 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . | 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . |
C Cm C Cm C G# G#

3) closer to the flame. Oh, ever
4) closer to the blade. (yeah)

Verse 2:
C (Cm C) G# G#
I am poison crazy lush
C (Cm C) G# G#
Built these hands to lift me up
C (Cm C) G# G#
We are servants of our formulaic ways
C (Cm C) G# G#
Pre-Chorus:
(Pretty much like chord verse, but just more straight-forward)
| 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . | 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . |
C G# G#
e|-------------------------|-------------------------|
B|-------------------------|-------------------------|

E|-------------------4--4--|-4--4--4--4--4--4--4--4--|(x4)
1) I'm screaming daisies.
2) From forty miles away.
3) I've got my own time.
4) Got it all today. (So..)
(Mr. Simple jumping in again. It does not sound bad here to just play C for a measure
and then G# for a measure. It's a Bush song, so keep things simple if needed.)
Chorus:
(Part 1)
| 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . | 1 . . 2 . . 3 . . 4 . . |

Pre-chorus:

And I fly away! So...
Chorus 2:

Mind! Need some
A# F / G# G#
Help! To find this
A# F / G# (G#)
mind, mind, mind,
A# F / G# (G#)
mind, mind, mind.
(That's basically it, there is an interlude and soloing, and I'm going to skip ahead to
the outro...)
Outro:
(Per chorus part 2)
A# F / G# (G#)
A# F / G# (G#)
A# F / G# (G#)
(the repeat chorus 2 - complete)
A# F / G# G#
Make up your
A# F / G# G#
Mind! Need some
A# F / G# G#
Help! To find this
A# F / G# G# (keep strumming this G#)
mind, mind, m-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-nd,
A# F / G#
mind, mind, mind.
*END*
That's it. It's a really fun song, but hard to interpret from just tabs if you don't
know it by heart. I use to, but that was over 10 years ago. Hopefully, I've done it
enough justice to comprehend. For details, there I recommend that Kurt_Cobain_67's tab.
That guy is a Bush tab god. (Just took me 3-4 years to understand his work.)
Alt Chorus:

(or something like that, I play it differently every time)
