This is the song as interperedted to me by a friend, so the chorus is sort of adapted. For the into, you have to alternate between Gmaj7 and G twice, then slide the G up an octave, so that the base of the "triangle" is on the 10th fret. G/ will symbolize the G slide in the tab. The chorus is very similar, but instead of the Gmaj7 to G switch, you only have to play the G slide. If this explaination doesn't make sense, listen to a reccording of the song, and it'll become clear in no time. (Oh and sorry if it's inaccurate, this is my first tab)
Verse 1: G I was walking down the street Bb When out the corner of my eye CBbF I saw a pretty little thing approaching me G She said I've never seen a man Bb Who looks so all alone CBbF Could you use a little company G If you pay the right price Bb Your evening will be nice CBbF And you can go and send me on my way G I said You're such a sweet young thing Bb Why you do this to yourself CBbF She looked at me and this is what she said
Chorus: G////////G BbCF Oh there ain't no rest for the wicked G///////////G BbCF Money don't grow on trees G////////G I got bills to pay BbCF I got mouths to feed G///////////////G BbCF There ain't nothing in this world for free G//////////G I know I can't slow down BbCF I can't hold back G///////G BbCF Though you know I wish I could G////////G BbCF No there ain't no rest for the wicked G/////////G BbFC Until we close our eyes for good
Verse 2: G Not even fifteen minutes later Bb I'm still walking down the street FBbF When I saw a shadow of a man creep out of sight G Then he walks up from behind Bb And puts a gun up to my head CBbF He made it clear he wasn't looking for a fight G He said Give me all you've got Bb I want your money not your life CBbF But if you try to make a move I won't think twice G I said You can have my cash Bb But first you know I got to ask CBbF What made you want to live this kind of life
Chorus he instead of she G Now a couple hours passed Bb And I was sitting at my house CBbF The day was winding down and coming to an end G So I turned on the TV Bb And flipped it over to the news CBbF And what I saw I almost couldn't comprehend GBb I saw a preacher man in cuffs he'd taken money from the church CBbF He's got this bank account with righteous dollar bills G But even still I can't say much Bb Because I know we're all the same CBbF Oh yes we've all got to satisfy those thrills
Chorus but this time through replace all of the I s with We Also on this last go through of the chorus finish it off by letting a G ring
