Astrud Gilberto (Bahía, Brasil, 29 de marzo de 1940). Es sin duda una de las voces más importantes dentro la corriente latina del jazz y de las cantante mas representativas de la «bossa nova» un estilo surgido en la raíz del pueblo brasileño, y que entronca con lo mejor de la tradición latina del swing.
Cuando se casó en 1959 con uno de los primeros guitarristas de Bossa nova, João Gilberto, ingresó en el mundo de la música. En 1963 estaba
