Biografía:
Velvet Revolver se formó cuando tres ex-integrantes del grupo Guns N' Roses, Slash (guitarra), Duff McKagan (bajo) y Matt Sorum (batería), se unieron a los ex-Buckcherry Josh Todd (vocalista) y Keith Nelson (guitarra) para tocar en un concierto benéfico para el baterista Randy Castillo en el 2002. Fue en ese momento cuando decidieron formar una banda. El grupo fue conocido como "The Project" mientras encontraban un mejor nombre. Más tarde Todd salió delgrupo y fue entonces cuando el grupo hizo audiciones para buscar vocalista
