Biografía:
Richard Paul Ashcroft (Nacido el 11 de septiembre de 1971, en Billinge, Wigan, Inglaterra) es más conocido como el líder y vocalista de The Verve, banda fundada en 1989 y disuelta en 1999.
Ashcroft comenzó su carrera como solista al disolverse la banda, lanzando Alone with everybody en el año 2000, Human conditions en el año 2002 y Keys to the world en el 2006, destacándose por una veta más rockera que la seguida con The Verve y donde explora sentimientos personales hacia su esposa, el mundo y Dios.
