Con un total de 29 discos publicados hasta la fecha, más de 45 millones de ejemplares vendidos y 21 primeros puestos en las listas es una de las cantantes con más éxito de su género.

Combina su carrera como cantante con su acividad como actriz. ha participado en varias películas asi como en el musical de Broadway "Annie get your Gun" y la versión en concierto del musical "South Pacific".
