Historia
La encarnación original de esta banda sucedió a mediados de los 1990s en Kansas City, Missouri. Después de que esta encarnación se dividiera, una nueva versión se formó en Los Angeles, California por el vocalista Wes Scantlin. Como muchas bandas nu-grunge, Puddle of Mudd es acusado con frecuencia de ser una derivación sin talento del famoso acto de la escena grunge de Seattle.
