Sir James Paul McCartney (Liverpool, 18 de Junio de 1942). Cantante y compositor británico que saltó a la fama como miembro del cuarteto legendario "The Beatles". Junto a John Lennon, compañero de The Beatles, formó una de las parejas de compositores más influyentes de la música contemporánea, escribiendo conjuntamente un extenso catálogo de temas archiconocidos. Después de anunciar que dejaba el grupo (1970), McCartney empezó una exitosa carrera en solitario y formó el grupo Wings con su mujer, Linda McCartney.
