Mountain fue una banda excelente integrada por el guitarrista Leslie West, el bajista Felix Pappalardi, el baterista Cornky Laing y el teclista Steve Knight. Lograron una magnífica mezcla de rock pesado y pasajes líricos, apoyados por letras inspiradas y hasta un diseño conceptual, obra de Gail Collins, la mujer de Pappalardi, la cual, por cierto, acabaría asesinándolo.
