Megadeth es una banda de thrash metal estadounidense creada a principios de los años '80 y una de las responsables del auge de ese género. Ha vendido más de 20 millones de copias.
Megadeth llegó a ser reconocida internacionalmente en la década de 1980 como una de las pioneras del movimiento thrash metal estadounidense, pero estuvo condenada a cambios constantes en la formación principal, en parte a causa del abuso de sustancias por parte de Dave Mustaine.
