Manic Street Preachers es un grupo de rock procedente de Gales, Reino Unido, formado por James Dean Bradfield (voz y guitarra), Sean Moore (batería) y Nicky Wire (bajo).
La banda se formó en 1986, tomando influencia de bandas como Badfinger y Joy Division, sumándole guitarras agresivas, como un cruce a mitad camino del indie y el punk más tradicional; sus tres primeros discos se caracterizaron por letras poéticas y reivindicativas. Hasta que la misteriosa desaparición de Richey James en 1995 los reorganizó como trío.
