Los Lobos es una banda de rock, muy influenciada por el rock and roll, el tex-mex, la música country, el folk, el rhythm & blues, el blues, y la música tradicional española y mexicana, como los boleros y los norteños.
La banda surge en los años sesenta, su trabajo se centra en versionear éxitos del momento. Es a partir de los años setenta cuando comienzan a fusionar la música tradicional mexicana con los nuevos ritmos y sonidos rockeros
