Biografía:
Walter Becker, cuyo verdadero nombre es Walter Carl Becker, es un reconocido guitarrista, bajista y compositor nacido en el barrio de Queens, NY. Al lado de Donald Fagen conforma el grupo Steely Dan.
Becker reibió instrucción en técnicas de blues de la mano de Randy Wolfe, quien bajo el nombre de Randy California, tocó con Jimi Hendrix y más adelante formó el grupo Spirit.
Mientras asistía al Bard College en Annandale-on-Hudson, Nueva York, conoció a su socio musical Donald Fagen, con quien fundó Steely Dan.
