Tim cantante de la banda mítica de la escena punk-rock californiana Rancid, tambien participó en proyectos como Transplants, con Travis Baker bateria de Blink 182, que calificaron de punk del futuro, o en la ya desaparecida Operation Ivy, que fue el germen de Rancid.
ahora presenta su nuevo disco A poet´s Life, donde destapa su sonido mas jamaicano, dejando de la lado su faceta mas punk, y dando rienda suelta a su espiritu reggae, ska, que ya mostró en Rancid y en Operation Ivy
