Thursday es una banda de post-hardcore formada en New Brunswick, Nueva Jersey, EE. UU.. Su nombre viene del deseo de la banda de no ser asociado automáticamente a cualquier estilo musical en particular.
Thursday se formó en 1997 por el vocalista Geoff Rickly, los guitarristas Tom Keeley y Bill Henderson, el bajista Tim Payne y el batería Tucker Rule. La banda empezó a tocar conciertos en New Brunswick y otros lugares de Nueva Jersey y Nueva York.
