Biografía:
Fundada em Berkeley pelos jovens amigos, Tommy Dunbar e Jon Rubin, The Rubinoos é uma banda pop dos anos 1970. Em 1977, atingiu o top 40 com um cover de Tommy James "I Think We're Alone Now". Em 1978, eles seguiram com o power pop clássico "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend", que foi nomeado recorde do ano pela revista britânica Music Week. Vários álbuns e décadas mais tarde o Rubes ainda pôs em marcha as gemas pops como exemplificada pelo lançamento Paleophonic 1999.
