Biografía:
Banda formada en 1977, por Ana Da Silva (guitarra- voz) y Gina Birch (bajo- voz), quienes fuesen estudiantes dell Colegio de Arte Londinense. Se puede concebir a The Raincoats como post- punk, fomando parte también del punk clasico. Tiempo después se les uniría Palmolive (Paloma Romero), la cual dejaría de pertenecer a Slits, para conformar parte de la alineación de Raincoats en la batería.
