Biografía:
Si bien nacieron en Inglaterra durante la explosión punk de 1977, los Psychedelic Furs delinearon un estilo que encuentra sus influencias primarias tanto en el sonido agresivo de los Sex Pistols como en el glam de David Bowie o Roxy Music y pinceladas de rock psicodélico. Con la idea firme de escapar a cualquier tipo de rótulo, los hermanos Richard (vocalista) y Tim Butler (bajista) sentaron las bases de una banda a la que enseguida se sumaron el saxofonista Duncan Kilburn y el guitarrista Roger Morris.
