Biografía:
The Nips foi uma das inúmeras bandas punks inglesas que surgiram durante o "boom" do punk em 1976/1977. A banda foi formada nessa época por Shanne McGowan (conhecido pelo seu trabalho no The Pogues) nos vocais, a baixista Shanne "Skratch" Bradley, o guitarrista Roger Towndrow e o baterista Arcane Vendetta. Inicialmente, a banda chamava-se Nipple Erectors, porém, mais tarde o nome ficou apenas como The Nips.
