The Littlest Man Band was started by Scott Klopfenstein of Orange County, California. Scott was a long-time member of Reel Big Fish, a popular ska punk band. Scott had written a number of songs over the years that didn't conform to the usual style of Reel Big Fish. He performed some of these by himself under the pseudonym "The Littlest Man" before being joined by several musicians well known to him from the Long Beach music scene, the majority of whom are fellow ex-members of the band The Scholars.

Song: Better Man Band: Littlest Man Band Album: Better Book Ends Tuning: Standard Acoustic
This song extremely simple. The chords used are the following:
G:320033 Cadd9:X32033 C:X32010 Dadd4add9:X5403X
Quick note: the transition from G to Cadd9 is always this: E|---3--3-----3-3-3-3---3---------3-3-3---| B|---3--3-----3-3-3-3---3---------3-3-3---| G|---0--------0-0-0-----0---------0-0-0---| D|---0--------2-2-2-----0---------0-0-0---| A|---2---2h3-3--3-3-----2---------2-2-2---| E|-3------------------3-----------3-3-3---|
Also, in the chorus, Dadd4add9 doesn't slide back down to C until around the word "be" but it's a long chord name and a pain in the ass to fit in there. Listen to the song, you'll figure the strumming and everything out.
(s=slide to) Intro during horn solo is just G to Cadd9 to G repeating
GCadd9G I'm not the sharpest shard of glass from this broken window
GCadd9G But there's a few things that I've learned that you might want to know
C That misery is a talent you can hone
GCadd9G And sorrow is a product we all can't wait to own
C s Dadd4add9 Dadd4add9 s CGCadd9G But I'm just trying to be a better man
GCadd9G Flesh and blood cover the statues on the street
GCadd9G They'll treat you like a friend but they stare at you like fresh meat
C And the porcelain teeth that smile in your face
GCadd9G Can't wait for you to fall so they can take your place
C s Dadd4add9 Dadd4add9 s CGCadd9G And I'm just trying to be a better man
C s Dadd4add9 Dadd4add9 s CGCadd9G Yeah I'm just trying to be a better man
