Biografía:
The Folk Implosion fue una banda americana de indie rock / lo-fi fundada a principios de los 90 por Lou Barlow y John Davis. Inicialmente se trataba de un proyecto paralelo de Barlow para explorar diferentes estilos de los que interpretaba con su banda principal en ese momento, Sebadoh.
El status del grupo era relativamente oscuro hasta que participaron en la banda sonora de la película Kids, de Larry Clark, la mayor parte de la cual eran composiciones originales de Barlow y Davis.
